§ Mr. Howard[holding answer 6 November 1995]: I hope on present plans that by the end of 1995 the Betting Gaming and Lotteries Act 1963 will be amended to relax the rules on greyhound racing. The cost savings likely to accrue to the greyhound industry have been estimated at £260,000 per annum. It is not possible to estimate the cost of making this assessment.
