To ask the Secretary of State for Education and Employment if she will make a statement on the results of her Department's last quality assessor's audit of Barnsley and Doncaster TEC; and on what date the next one is planned. [39438]

The last quality audit at Barnsley and Doncaster training and enterprise council was a compliance audit undertaken in August 1994 on its youth training provision.

The findings of the audit were that the TEC was in compliance with the Department's quality requirements. A number of areas were identified in which development was desirable to increase the overall effectiveness of the TEC's quality management systems. The TEC has since taken effective action to address each of these development needs.
