PSA Services' operational functions were either closed or successfully privatised during 1992–93. Since October 1993, when the building management businesses were sold, a residuary unit has been responsible for dealing with a number of post-sale personnel and finance issues and for discharging Government's responsibilities under the sale agreements. By 31 March 1996 these on-going functions will be absorbed by the Department of the Environment; consequently, the PSA will formally cease to exist from that date.
