To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his answer of 31 October,Official Report, column 231, what is the life of the OSIRIS contract. [41835]

The life of the OSIRIS contract is expected to be seven years.

Mr. Morgan

To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his answer of 31 October,Official Report, column 231, which firms have tendered for the OSIRIS project; and what is the approximate estimated annual rental payment for the capital, repair and running costs of the system and the duration of the approximate rental period. To ask the Secretary of State for Wales, pursuant to his answer of 31 October,Official Report, column 231, on the OSIRIS system, what evaluation he has made of the relative merits of having fewer staff with more personal computers as against the present level of staff with fewer computers; and if he will make a statement. The requirement for the OSIRIS contract was evaluated on the basis of any given level of staff gaining efficiency by sharing better access to, and usage of, information.
