To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment if he will list the delegations from local authorities whose meetings with Ministers in his Department have been cancelled in the past two weeks. [40654]

[holding reply given Tuesday 31 October 1995]: No ministerial meetings with local authorities have been cancelled within the past two weeks. However, Earl Ferrers, the Minister for the Environment and Countryside, was obliged to withdraw from attending the Association of District Councils conference on 31 October.

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many times in the past year he has met local authority organisations to discuss the services that they provide and the means by which they are financed. [41138]
