HC Deb 06 November 1995 vol 265 c619W
Mrs. Beckett

To ask the Secretary for Health what is his latest evidence on whether there are different levels of service to patients of fundholders and others. [41573]

Mr. Malone

Every independent study of the fundholding scheme, from the National Audit Office to the Office of Economic Co-operation and Development, has found that fundholding has brought real benefits to patients including reduced waiting times and improved access to services; this has had the effect of driving standards up for all patients.
