§ Mr. PaiceThe total number of national vocational qualifications awarded in the UK between their launch and the end of 1994 is about 758,000 according to figures supplied by NCVQ. Data are not available on the number of individuals gaining such awards; nor are data available in a comparable form for other EU member countries.
Total NVQs awarded in the United Kingdom to 31 December 1990: 58,294; total awarded in 1991: 111,235; total awarded in 1992: 152,114; total awarded in 1993: 202,426; and total awarded in 1994: 239,780.
