§ Mr. HagueThe information is not readily available in respect of all transport and could be provided only at disproportionate cost. The cost of ministerial use of the official car service, a significant element of ministerial travel arrangements, over the five years is as follows:

Ministers who use their own vehicles are paid normal civil service rates. The cost in 1994–95 was £1,020 and in 1995–96 to date, £915. The cost of the previous three years is not readily available.
