HC Deb 03 November 1995 vol 265 cc499-500W
Mr. Robert McCartney

To ask the Secretary of State for Northern Ireland to what extend the figure in the Department of the Environment approved rules of 15 per cent. to 20 per cent. of tenants in the Fold Housing Association being actively able to help its fellow tenants is being met; and what assessment he had made of the adequacy of the target figure. [40559]

Mr. Moss

Information on Fold Housing Association's target balance between active and less active tenants in sheltered housing is not collated or monitored by the Department. The need for such a balance is currently being considered in a review of the social housing needs of older people which is jointly being carried out by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive and the Northern Ireland Federation of Housing Associations. It is hoped that the report will be produced before the end of this year. I will arrange for copies to be forwarded to the hon. and learned Member and placed in the Library.
