§ Sir Paul BeresfordSince my Department took over responsibility for health and safety at work I have not met representatives of the Transport and General Workers Union. The Health and Safety Commission and Health and Safety Executive give advice and enforce the law in relation to farm safety. The Transport and General Workers Union is represented on the commission's agriculture industry advisory committee, which last met on 26 October.
