The Parliamentary Secretary, Lord Chancellor's Department has asked me to reply to your Question about the judicial consultation required under the above Act when contracting out services.418W The Lord Chancellor is required to consult the senior judges before making an order under the provisions of Schedule 16 to the Deregulation and Contracting Out Act 1995. No such consultations have yet taken place.
