§ Mr. MaloneFamily health services authorities have delegated responsibility for the provision of general medical services in their area, including registration with and movements between general practitioners. In carrying out their responsibilities, family health services authorities themselves are best placed to recognise the need to commission research. Family health services authorities are increasingly encouraging general practitioners and patients to participate in conciliation processes which help avoid the need for removal action.
