§ Mr. LangImproving UK competitiveness is at the centre of my Department's work. We are pursuing a wide range of initiatives, including the extension of the benchmarking approach into the service sector; encouraging innovation and improved supply chains; expanding support for small businesses through the opening of more business links; and export promotion.
