Mr. Foulkes

To ask the Secretary of State for Scotland what was the total income in 1993–94 of each local authority and in total from placements of old people in (a) registered and (b) unregistered independent residential care and nursing homes, inside and outside the local authority area and from placements in local authority homes for older people; and if he will break down by income from (i) government grants, inside aggregate
