To ask the Secretary of State for Health to what extent a social deprivation score is included as a weighting factor in allocation formulae for mental health funding. [26073]

Mr. Malone

There is no index of deprivation in the formula. Instead it uses two needs indices, one for acute services and the other for psychiatric services, both of which take account of a number of health and socio-economic factors.
