§ Mrs. Browning[holding answer 22 May 1995]: The level of spot checking and the resources devoted to it are matters for the Spanish authorities. We maintain contact 509W with them, and understand from them that they are satisfied on the basis of their checks that the animals' welfare is satisfactorily protected.
