§ Mr. Roger EvansThe pilot of a new in-work benefit for those not able to take advantage of family credit is one of a number of measures which we announced last November to help unemployed people move back into work more easily and increase the opportunities and rewards of work.
The pilot will run for three years to enable the impact of the new benefit to be properly evaluated. A Green Paper to be published shortly will set out our proposals in detail.
