To ask the Secretary of State for Health, pursuant to her answer about weighted capitation of 20 December 1994,Official Report, column 1152, if she will specify the 1995–96 (a) cash allocation, (b) weighted capitation target in cash terms calculated on the basis used for table 8.3 in the Health Committee's first special report of Session 1993–94 on public expenditure, HC617, and (c) weighted capitation target in cash terms on the basis of the modified formula described in annexe 1 of the NHS executive's hospital and community health services revenue resource allocation: weighted capitation formula of October 1994; and if she will list (b) and (c) as percentage of (a). [25002]

The table shows:

  • (i) 1995–96 hospital and community health services revenue allocations to regional health authorities for resident population.
  • (ii) 1995–96 weighted capitation targets for regional health authorities in cash terms using the modified formula.
  • (iii) 1995–96 weighted capitation targets as a percentage of revenue allocations.

1995–96 regional health authority weighted capitation targets on the same basis as used for table 8.3 are not available as there are no operational reasons for these to be calculated.
