To ask the Attorney-General what recent representations he has received about the workings of the War Crimes Act 1991. [23917]

With regard to second world war crimes, following initial advice from Treasury counsel, further inquiries are in hand in relation to certain potential defendants. Decisions as to possible prosecutions will be taken as soon as all the relevant evidence has been fully considered and analysed.
