§ Mr. JackReceipts by Spain of funds from both the guarantee section, which funds the common agricultural policy, and the guidance section, which funds structural measures in the agricultural sector, of the European agricultural guidance and guarantee fund for the last three years are shown in the table below. The EAGGF guarantee section expenditure contains a small element in respect of fisheries market support.

The allocation to Spain under objective 5b—rural development—for the same period is 664 mecu or £551 millions derived from the EAGGF guidance section, European regional development fund and the European social fund combined. A breakdown of the amount to be funded from the EAGGF guidance section alone is not available.
