§ Mr. AtkinsConsiderable progress has been made. Compliance with the relevant coliform bacteria standards of the EC directive has risen from 56 per cent. in 1987 to 82 per cent, in 1994. I expect further improvements as the remaining schemes in the clean-up programme are completed.
