To ask the President of the Board of Trade if he will list the applications by power generating companies under section 36 of the Electricity Act 1989 that have been referred to a public inquiry(a) directly by his Department or (b) as a result of a decision by a local authority; and if he will list the length of time between the referral and the completion of the public inquiry in each case.
