§ Mr. RichardsThe latest available information on administrative costs and pupil numbers for each local education authority are given in the table. Administration costs refer to all education services administered by local authorities, including continuing education and the youth service. Pupil numbers refer only to pupils of maintained primary, secondary and special schools. Information on administrative staff numbers, for individual local authorities, is not held centrally.
