§ Mr. MacleanI am pleased to announce that, following a tender competition, contractors have been selected to manage the two safer cities projects which I announced on 2 December 1994.
After careful evaluation of the tenders, Crime Concern has been chosen to manage the project at Cardiff, and the National Association for the Care and Resettlement of Offenders will manage the project at Rhyl.
Both organisations have significant experience in crime prevention, project management and working with voluntary agencies. We expect preliminary work to begin shortly, and the projects will come on stream in the summer.
