§ Mr. Robin SquireThe Department does not collect details of the nationality of pupils enrolled in independent schools. The annual census carried out by the independent schools information service, published on 25 April, found that nearly 6,800 foreign pupils enrolled last year in United Kingdom independent boarding schools.
