§ Mr. FreemanIn the period 1 October 1993 to 30 September 1994, the total value of activities exposed to competing for quality was £287 million. Of the £27 million or 9 per cent. that was market tested, £19 million, or 7 per cent., was won by the in-house bid. In the period since October 1994, the value of activities exposed to competing for quality has totalled £198 million. Of the £7 million, or 4 per cent., which has been market tested, none has been won by the in-house bid.
