§ Mr. BowisInformation available centrally on numbers of national health service beds does not include the classification "continuing care". Information according to ward classifications has been published for the years since 1988–89 in "Bed availability for England". In earlier years, beds were classified according to consultant specialty and "SH3 National and Regional Summaries" were published. Copies of the publications are available in the Library.
