§ Mr. BowisThe Department recently issued a handbook on child and adolescent mental health, copies of which are available in the Library. This gives information about the prevalence of this disorder. Hyperkinetic disorder is among those mainly childhood disorders which authorities responsible for purchasing mental health services should recognise and provide for in their purchasing plans. We also support the work of voluntary organisations concerned with this disorder, including provision of grant aid to the hyperactive children's support group.
