HC Deb 01 May 1995 vol 259 c58W
Mr. Morley

To ask the Secretary of State for Transport what support the Government are giving to livestock hauliers to ensure that they can continue their trade. [20917]

Mr. Norris

Generally my Department's support for livestock hauliers in the United Kingdom and abroad is the same as it is for other hauliers, and covers a wide range of matters. My Department has been in touch with ports involved in recent action on the export of live animals, and will remain so, but intervention is for the police and the courts.
