§ Mr. LangThe measures outlined in the Government"s White Paper "Scotland in the Union: A Partnership for Good" were part of a new and continuing approach to the government of Scotland. They have all been implemented or represent continuing commitments and taken together have made government in Scotland more accountable; emphasised the distinct nature of government policy in Scotland; and ensured that within the Union there is a full recognition, as well as greater understanding, of Scotland"s status as a nation.
