§ Mr. BoswellUnder the assessment arrangements operated by the Higher Education Funding Council for England, three university departments have failed to achieve a satisfactory rating for teaching quality out of over 600 assessments and one of those has subsequently been regraded as satisfactory on a follow up visit, over 99 per cent. of assessed provision is graded as satisfactory or better.
