§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe estimates of Welsh hill farm income for 1993–94 included only those miscellaneous off-farm receipts which were derived from use of the farm business resources. They took account of such items as contracting work which involved farm labour and machinery, but then excluded any income earned by the farmer from employment or self-employment away from the farm and not involving farm resources, investment income pensions and the like.
