§ Sir Paul BeresfordMy letter of 23 January to the hon. Member explained that my Department's officials were inviting comments from officers of the English local authority associations on the provisions of the Bill. By the time limit of 24 February, comments had been received from the Association of County Councils, the Association of District Councils, the Association of London Authorities and the Association of Metropolitan Authorities. A copy has been placed in the Library of the House. The comments are being considered.
