HC Deb 28 March 1995 vol 257 c603W
Mr. Vaz

To ask the Secretary of State for the Environment how many representations he has received on the Town and Country Planning (Costs of Enquiries) Bill; what was the length of the consultation period for the Bill; if he will list the organisations that have responded and the nature of the response; and what action he is taking as a result of the consultation. [16174]

Sir Paul Beresford

My letter of 23 January to the hon. Member explained that my Department's officials were inviting comments from officers of the English local authority associations on the provisions of the Bill. By the time limit of 24 February, comments had been received from the Association of County Councils, the Association of District Councils, the Association of London Authorities and the Association of Metropolitan Authorities. A copy has been placed in the Library of the House. The comments are being considered.
