§ Mr. BaldryI refer the hon. Gentleman to the answer given by the Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office, my right hon. Friend the Member for Eddisbury (Mr. Goodlad), on 27 October 1994,Official Report, column 761. The FCO has not conducted any public opinion surveys since January 1994.
The purpose of the research undertaken by public survey organisations is to provide information useful to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office as background for Government policy.
