§ Mr. David DavisThe United Kingdom remains committed to negotiating a comprehensive test ban treaty. We intend to abide by the terms of the treaty when it enters into force. At the same time, the United Kingdom, like the other nuclear weapon states, will need to take the necessary steps to fulfil our responsibility to ensure the safety and reliability of our nuclear weapons.
