To ask the Secretary of State for Health if she will update her answer of 1 December 1993 to the hon. Member for Sheffield, Brightside (Mr. Blunkett),Official Report, column 578,on the average costs of NHS procedures in the categories in the previous answer.

The costing systems in the national health service are currently under review to enable the methodologies used to be standardised in all hospitals.
