§ Mr. GoodladNo such proposal is before the UN Security Council. The human rights situation in East Timor is kept under regular review by the UN Commission on Human Rights. At its recent session, the UN commission welcomed the Indonesian Government's undertaking to invite the High Commissioner for Human Rights to visit East Timor in 1995 and to continue to 587W co-operate with the UN commission's special rapporteurs and working groups.
