HC Deb 13 March 1995 vol 256 c368W
Mr. Campbell-Savours

To ask the Secretary of State for the Home Department what plans he has to seek a review of the law as it relates to offences on a rugby field.

Mr. Maclean

The Law Commission is currently considering the application of the criminal law to acts of violence committed in sport, as part of its inquiry into consent as a defence to offences against the person. The Government have no plans at present to review the law in this area.
