To ask the President of the Board of Trade if the export licence application refused for the export of goods to Gibraltar in 1993 was for equipment specified as ML3 in group 1 of part III of schedule 1 to SI 1992 No. 3092.

No. The equipment in question was specified as ML15.

It has not been the practice of successive Governments to reveal details of licences or applications unless the requirements of confidentiality are outweighed by the public interest.
