To ask the Secretary of State for Defence how many people were employed in the defence industry in Hampshire in each year since 1989.

The numbers of United Kingdom regular service and Ministry of Defence civilian personnel working in Hampshire in 1 July in the years in question are set as follows. Figures for employment in defence-related industries are not available below the level of economic planning region.
