Since it began work in 1988, the Education Assets Board has completed the transfer of property, rights and liabilities from local authorities to 65 higher education corporations, 163 further education corporations and 489 grant maintained schools. The board is currently considering such transfers at 13 higher education corporations, 317 further education corporations and 568 grant-maintained schools.
