To ask the Chancellor of the Exchequer what inquiries he has made in respect of financial irregularities in English football.

The Inland Revenue special compliance office is carrying out investigations into alleged financial irregularities in football clubs. These investigations are continuing and it is not appropriate to comment further until they are complete.
