§ Mr. DorrellI am grateful to all those who submitted comments in response to our recent consultation on the implications of Sports Council restructuring for children's play. I am today inviting interested organisations to a meeting to discuss the new arrangements which we propose to introduce. Under these, existing bodies will he invited to hid for funds to carry out work in the areas of information dissemination, playground safety, playwork education and training, and policy advice. The new arrangements will take effect from October 1995 and will be based on a continuation of the existing level of funding of £400,000 per annum.
