§ Mr. AncramIn 1994, the Government published a comprehensive policy statement on early years provision in Northern Ireland, including their objectives for nursery education.
As the Prime Minister reiterated recently, the Government are committed to a major expansion of pre-school provision throughout the United Kingdom. Proposals to achieve this in Northern Ireland will be announced shortly.
