§ Mr. Eggar[holding answer 29 June 1995]: Further to the answer I gave the hon. Member on 20 March 1995, Official Report, columns 796–97, I understand that most member states' discussions of their programmes with the European Commission are still continuing. I hope that the British programme will be settled in September. It will then be possible to consider applications.
