§ Mr. SackvilleI understand that the clinical trial service unit at the Radcliffe infirmary, Oxford is organising the pulmonary embolism prevention trial, funded by the British Heart Foundation. The PEP trial aims to determine whether any beneficial effects of aspirin given to patients with hip fracture outweigh any risks. The trial is still in progress and the findings have not yet been published.
