§ Mr. SackvilleNational health service expenditure in the United Kingdom as a whole has increased from the equivalent of 4.7 per cent. of gross domestic product in 1978–79 to 5.3 per cent. in 1990–91, 5.9 per cent. in 1993–94 and an estiamted 5.8 per cent. in 1994–95.
