§ Mr. Gwilym JonesThe Regional Emergency Committee is convened in the event of a serious emergency. This has not happened in the last three years. Members meet informally from time to time to keep in contact. The committee is chaired by the Welsh Office and the organisations represented on it include appropriate Welsh Office divisions, the police, the fire service, the Army, other Government Departments, the Post Office and the telecommunications industry. Other organisations are represented should circumstance require.
