§ Lord James Douglas-HamiltonAs foreshadowed in our policy statement "Scotland's Health—A Challenge to Us All", a Scottish health survey, commissioned and funded by the Scottish Office, is now under way. The survey focuses particularly on cardiovascular disease and the associated risk factors such as smoking, diet, drinking and exercise. The results, which will be published, will inform the development of policy and action in this priority area of health in Scotland.
