§ Mr. SackvilleEngland formally entered a European network of health-promoting schools in September 1993. The 16 pilot schools which make up the English network are currently involved in a wide variety of health education and health promotion activities, involving not only the school community but also external agencies. A number of schools have established European links with the wider European network of schools.
The Department of Health will contribute approximately £400,000 to the project for the current year.
